Elizabeth MacPherson

Chairperson

Prior to her appointment to the CIRB in January 2008, Ms. MacPherson was the Director General, Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, with the Labour Program for nine years. Her career experience has included executive positions in labour relations within a number of different organizations, in the public and parapublic sectors.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Industrial Relations) from McGill University and a Bachelor and a Master of Laws from the University of Ottawa. She has taught at the Law Society of Upper Canada's bar admission course, the University of Ottawa and the federal training program for tribunal members.
